Lemon Conditioner Bar

The Lemon Conditioner Bar pairs the same fresh, uplifting scent as its shampoo bar counterpart with a rich blend of shea butter, cocoa butter, avocado oil and argan oil. When worked through the mid-lengths and ends, it smooths and detangles hair.
Suits: Normal to fine hair, especially if you already use the Lemon Shampoo Bar and want the scent to carry through.
Formulator's note: Lemon essential oil is a favourite of mine to work with, it's fresh and bright without being overpowering. In the conditioner bar, the conditioning work is done by the same base blend of oils and butters used across the whole range. Avocado oil has a light green colour and comes from the fruit pulp when dried and has moisturising properties, perfect for nourishing hair strands.
What is a conditioner bar? A solid bar of conditioning oils, butters and emulsifiers that smooths the hair and helps ease out tangles after washing. There are several benefits to using a conditioner bar over a liquid but the top 3 are:
- Little packaging - no plastic bottles to recycle.
- Long lasting - a single bar can last for several months.
- Travel friendly - no liquids and can be bought with a travel tin. This makes them refillable as well.
You can read more on switching to solid shampoo and conditioner in the blog.
Did you know: Lemons don't grow true from seed. Almost every lemon tree grown commercially today is propagated by grafting a cutting onto separate rootstock.

Curious what these ingredient names mean? We’ve explained the key ones on our About Us page.
Using a conditioner bar for the first time can take some getting used to. After shampooing, wet your hair thoroughly and slide the bar directly through the mid-lengths and ends, where hair needs it most. There’s no need to apply it to the roots unless your scalp and roots are dry. A little goes a long way, so start light and add more if you feel you need it. Rinse thoroughly.
Each bar weighs a minimum of 65g. How far yours goes depends on your hair length and how often you wash. Even washing long hair four to five times a week, a bar can comfortably last around six months (assuming no one else in the house borrows it!).
A gentle note on care: for external use only. Avoid direct eye contact and application to the mucous membranes or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Not suitable for children under the age of 3.

Leave your bar to dry out fully between uses. Leaving it sitting in a puddle of water is the fastest way to shorten its life. A draining soap dish or a dish with holes works well. Once dry, it’s happy stored in one of our travel tins for the washbag or in the bathroom cupboard.
